ISSMGE Outstanding Paper in the International Journal of Geoengineering Case Histories Award
The International Journal of Geotechnical Case Histories is pleased to announce the recipient of the Outstanding Paper Published in the International Journal of Geoengineering Case Histories Award, established by the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering.
This distinguished award recognizes the most outstanding paper published by an ISSMGE member in the journal during the preceding four-year period. The award is bestowed every four years at the International Conference on Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering. This year’s award ceremony took place in June of 2026, in Vienna.

This paper has been selected as the Outstanding Paper for its exceptional contribution to geotechnical engineering practice and case history documentation.
Purpose of the Award
The purpose of this award is to recognize excellence in the documentation of geotechnical case histories and to highlight papers that significantly advance professional practice through technical rigor, clarity, and practical impact. All papers published in the International Journal of Geotechnical Case Histories between 2022-2025 were eligible for consideration. The top three papers were voted by the IJGCH Editorial Board and submitted to the ISSMGE Secretariat, which relayed the nominations to the ISSMGE Awards Committee and Board of the Society for final selection.
